Abstract

In face of the growing pressures caused by the complex problems with which modern society is actually confronted, it becomes extremely necessary a better understanding of the natural resources that surrounds us. It is the proposal of this paper to discuss various aspects concerning a group of organisms that can be more important to man than has been thought of, up to this moment.
