SUMMARY

The presence of leal enations on the leaves of sesame plants was noticed ami thought at first to he associated with virus infection. Transmission tests, mechanical and by grafts, were negative. A study of progenies from plants possessing the anomaly showed that they were homozygous tor enation. The F1 enation x normal was normal. Three F2 progenies that were studied gave 108 plants with enations to 440 normal plants.
