Resumen. La migración indígena latinoamericana es un fenómeno multiétnico, más antiguo que la migración mestiza y con un carácter transnacional, debido a vínculos comunitarios antiguos y vitales. A lo largo del siglo XX, las migraciones indígenas en América Latina reconfiguraron la geografía étnica trazada por los estados modernos, no sólo dentro de los países sino también más allá de las líneas geopolíticas que dividen a América Latina de Estados Unidos, Canadá y el continente europeo en el Norte. Este artículo esboza un complejo campo de reflexión sobre las diferentes trayectorias de los flujos migratorios indígenas en la América Latina contemporánea. La migración indígena ha tenido un impacto en la redefinición de las identidades étnicas y en las nuevas formas de resistencia de los pueblos indígenas en la economía internacional, así como en la reconstrucción de la conciencia indígena en las configuraciones étnicas de más de un Estado-nación. El artículo ofrece un panorama general de la migración indígena continental y algunas experiencias regionales relevantes que van desde el sur al norte del continente.

Abstract. Latin American indigenous migration is a multiethnic phenomenon, older than mestizo migration and with a transnational character due to ancient and vital community ties. Throughout the twentieth century indigenous migration in Latin America reconfigured the ethnic geography traced by modern states, not only within countries but also beyond the geopolitical lines that divide Latin America in the South from the U.S., Canada and the European continent in the North. This paper outlines a complex field of reflection about the different paths of indigenous migration flows in contemporary Latin America. Indigenous migration has had an impact on the redefinition of ethnic identities and in the new forms of resistance of indigenous peoples in the international economy, as well as in the reconstruction of indigenous consciousness in the ethnic configurations of more than one nation-state. The article offers a general overview of continental indigenous migration and some relevant regional experiences from the South to the North of the continent.

Resumo Este artigo se propôs discutir o contexto educacional dos migrantes internacionais de origem boliviana, sejam residentes ou pendulares, atendidos no sistema educacional municipal de Corumbá, a partir da revisão das pesquisas realizadas nos únicos Programas Strictu Sensu ofertados no município sul-matogrossense. O rol de produções analisadas traz a discussão de problemáticas cotidianas que envolvem o desconhecimento da língua e cultura boliviana, assim como questões sobre a formação inicial e continuada de professores, que podem estar impactando no processo de ensino-aprendizagem desses migrantes.

Abstract This article proposes to discuss the educational context of international migrants of Bolivian origin, whether residents or commuters, assisted in the municipal educational system of Corumbá, based on the review of research carried out in the only Strictu Sensu Programs offered in the municipality of Mato Grosso do Sul. The list of analyzed productions brings up the discussion of everyday problems involving lack of knowledge of the Bolivian language and culture, as well as questions about initial and continuing teacher training, which may be impacting the teaching-learning process of these migrants.

Resumo Este artigo apresenta uma investigação sobre os desafios enfrentados pelos estudantes brasileiros no ensino superior em Portugal durante a pandemia de Covid-19. Utilizando questionários e entrevistas online, o estudo destaca o impacto significativo da pandemia na mobilidade, estabilidade financeira e saúde mental desses estudantes. Apesar dos desafios que enfrentaram e incertezas sobre suas perspectivas de carreira, os estudantes brasileiros demonstraram resiliência e adaptabilidade. O suporte que tiveram de suas redes de contato e as suas expectativas temporais desempenharam um papel relevante em seus agenciamentos. O estudo ressalta a importância de uma perspectiva transnacional na compreensão dos fatores sociais, econômicos e emocionais que moldam as experiências dos estudantes internacionais, e oferece evidência empírica valiosa para abordar os desafios da mobilidade humana em um contexto global complexo. Os resultados podem ser utilizados para informar o desenvolvimento de políticas e programas que atendam às necessidades dos estudantes internacionais em tempos de crise.

Abstract This article presents an investigation into the challenges faced by Brazilian students in Portugal during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using online survey data and interviews, the study highlights the significant impact of the pandemic on these students' mobility, financial stability, and mental health. Despite the challenges they faced and the uncertainties about their career prospects, Brazilian students demonstrated resilience and adaptability. The support they had from their contact networks and their temporal expectations played a relevant role in their agency. The study underlines the importance of a transnational perspective in understanding the social, economic, and emotional factors that shape international students' experiences. The paper offers valuable insights into addressing human mobility challenges in a complex global context and the results can be used to inform the development of policies and programs that meet the needs of international students in times of crisis.

Resumo Famílias venezuelanas atravessadas pela migração são impactadas pelas condições de saúde daqueles que ficaram em seu país. Nesse contexto, famílias transnacionais produzem redes que atuam à distância e auxiliam o acesso de familiares a medicamentos ou atendimentos em saúde. A partir de uma pesquisa etnográfica realizada em São Paulo, o presente artigo tem por objetivo abordar o fenômeno de circulação do cuidado em redes de famílias transnacionais. Descreve as condições particulares da migração venezuelana, os arranjos que migrantes realizam e aspectos de reciprocidade. Por fim, os impactos causados pelo fechamento de fronteiras para a contenção da Covid-19 são elencados como forma de refletir sobre as necessidades de famílias transnacionais no acesso a meios que garantam e facilitem o cuidado à distância seguro e eficaz.

Abstract Separeted venezuelan families are impacted by the health conditions of those who remained in the country. In such context, transnational families produce networks that operate remotely to help family members access medication or health care. Based on an ethnographic research carried out in São Paulo, this article aims to address the phenomenon of circulation of care in venezuelan transnational families. It describes the particular conditions of Venezuelan migration, arrangements that take place in venezuelan transnational families and aspects of reciprocity. Finally, the impacts caused by the closure of borders to contain Covid-19 are listed in order to reflect on the rights and needs of transnational families in accessing safe and effective remote care.

Resumo O presente estudo centra-se na experiência dos estudantes internacionais provenientes dos Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa no Ensino Superior em Portugal, concretamente nos guineenses. Pretendeu-se identificar e compreender as barreiras experienciadas na sua trajetória universitária, bem como apresentar recomendações para a melhoria quer da integração social, quer do sucesso académico. Nesta lógica, foram entrevistados onze indivíduos que frequentavam uma universidade portuguesa. Os resultados mostram que os estudantes são confrontados, desde logo, com diversas barreiras que condicionam não só a adaptação e integração social, como a aprendizagem e sobretudo o sucesso. Destacam-se, assim, a morosidade da obtenção dos vistos de estudo, a fraca proficiência na língua portuguesa, a escassez de alojamento e as questões socioculturais. Acrescem ainda as dificuldades financeiras, de adaptação ao novo espaço académico e de aprendizagem. Por fim, apresenta-se um conjunto de recomendações que visa melhorar significativamente a integração e o sucesso deste grupo estudantil em Portugal.

Abstract This study focuses on the experience of international students from Portuguese-speaking African countries in Higher Education in Portugal, specifically Guineans. It aimed to identify and understand the barriers experienced by these students in their academic trajectory, as well as to present recommendations for improving both social integration and academic success. In this perspective, eleven Guinean students that attend a Portuguese university were interviewed. The results show that students are faced with several barriers that affect not only their adaptation and social integration, but also their learning and, above all, their success. These include the delay in obtaining the visa, poor proficiency in Portuguese language, difficulty in finding accommodation and socio-cultural issues. There are also financial difficulties, in adapting to the new academic environment and learning difficulties. Finally, a set of recommendations is presented which aim to significantly improve the integration and success of this student group in Portugal.

Resumen A partir de investigaciones enfocadas en movilidades migratorias en el continente americano, el texto busca explorar y reflexionar sobre epístemologías y metodologías de investigación que se interesan por lazos afectivos -formas de cuidado y amistad-, generados en situaciones y contextos de migración en los que actualmente se inscriben niños, niñas y adolescentes, entre ellos, contextos escolares con presencia de diversidad migrante. El objetivo es destacar el papel de estos lazos en las movilidades humanas, y sobre todo, en los marcos creados para su investigación en un tiempo en el que se despliegan hostilidades que tienen consecuencias perjudiciales para la niñez migrante y sus familias. Para eso, se exponen aspectos metodológicos y epistemológicos de estudios descriptivos, de una investigación basada en artes y del enfoque etnográfico. La metodología usada es de tipo cualitativo y el diseño es documental.

Abstract Based on research focused on migratory mobilities in the American continent, the text seeks to explore and reflect on epistemologies and research methodologies that are interested in affective bonds - forms of care and friendship - generated in situations and contexts of migration in which children and adolescents are currently enrolled, among them, school contexts with the presence of migrant diversity. The objective is to highlight the role of these ties in human mobilities and, above all, in the frameworks created for their investigation in a time in which hostilities are unfolding that have detrimental consequences for migrant children and their families. For this purpose, methodological and epistemological aspects of descriptive studies, of an arts-based research and of the ethnographic approach are presented. The methodology used is qualitative and the design is documentary.

Resumo O presente artigo propõe contribuir para o diálogo sobre as migrações intra-regionais em África, com ênfase na imigração em Angola. Objetivando compreender os processos de inserção social, cultural e linguística nesse país, a partir dos aspectos que se apresentam como obstáculo e os fatores transformadores, com o aporte da metodologia comunicativa, foram realizados dez relatos comunicativos com imigrantes e regressados provenientes da República Democrática do Congo, Guiné-Conacri e São Tomé e Príncipe. Dentre os resultados, destaca-se a guerra e os conflitos armados em Angola e na República Democrática do Congo, como obstáculos e motivos para a emigração. Para os demais imigrantes, as questões econômicas estiveram na base dos deslocamentos. A aprendizagem da língua, por um lado, desvelou-se como dificultador no processo de inserção social e cultural, mas, por outro, revelou-se transformadora nos processos dialógicos de aprendizagem da língua portuguesa com nacionais ou angolanos nascidos em território congolês.

Abstract This article proposes to contribute to the dialog on intra-regional migrations in Africa, with emphasis on immigration to Angola. Aiming to understand the processes of social, cultural and linguistic insertion in Angola, from the aspects that present themselves as obstacles and the transforming factors, with the support of the communicative methodology, ten communicative reports were carried out with immigrants and returnees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea-Conakry and Sao Tome and Principe. As a result, the war and armed conflicts in Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo stand out as obstacles and reasons for emigration. For the other immigrants, economic issues were the basis of the displacement processes. Language learning, on the one hand, proved to be a hindrance in the process of social and cultural insertion, but on the other hand, it proved to be transformative in the dialogical processes of learning the Portuguese language with nationals or Angolans born in congolese territory.
