Myracetyma piraya sp. nov. is proposed. The specimens were collected from the gill filaments of Pygocentrus naltercri (Kner. 1860). The new species differs from the others, in size, and shape of the cephalotfiorax. Also, in the cuticular extensions of the antenna and the rami of the legs have different shapes and ornamentations.
