SUMMARY
The objective of this study was the propagation of pau-rosa (Rose wood - Aniba rosaeodora Vuche from cuttings of juvenile material (lateral and terminal branches) treated with indole-3-butyric acid, a rooting harmone.
Cuttings were rooted under intermittent misting (20 sec. misting every 20 min.) and were treated weekly with foliar fertilizer. At 210 days cuttings were removed and the following paramenters were evalluated: Fresh weiht of roots, size of roots, percentage survival and percentage rooting. Results indicate that the rooting of juvenile material is possibly independent of the use of indole-3-butyric acid.
