Summary
A new species of Polyporus, P. indigenus I. Araujo 8 M.A. Sousa is described. This new species is quite distinct from related species, principally in the size and shape of the pileus and spores, but also In the absence of zoration, hairs or scales and for the stipe being practically sessile. Economic importance and utilization are investigated.
