Two new species of Ocotea Aublet is described and illustrated: Ocotea cryptocarpa and Ocotea curucutuensis. These new species occur, respectively, in the states of Espírito Santo (municipality of Santa Tereza) and São Paulo (municipality of São Paulo), Brazil.
