The wealth and breadth of integrative dermatology has motivated the search for further knowledge, regarding which the authors draw attention to integrative and ecological psychotherapy that they consider contributes highly significant concepts and techniques, which help optimize the physician/patient relationship. In attending patients, integrative dermatology underscores the dimensions of human function based on six approaches: physiological, behavioral, cognitive, affective, systemic and ecological. Integrative Dermatology views patients as a whole, and excellency is sought in the physician-patient interpersonal relationship.
