Endogenous mycotic endophthalmitis: clinical and hystopathological aspects of 3 cases

SUMMARY

Clinical and histopathologic features of three cases of endogenous micotic endophthalmitis are reported. The first patient was submitted to intestinal surgery, using parenteral nutrition. The two others had diabetes, one of them underwent hemodialisis. The second had no complaints. The clinical diagnosis was not achieved in any of the cases, perhaps because of the unusual signs: retinal detachment, conjunctivitis with sinequia and cataract, and exsudative choriorretinitis.
