Depigmentation of the lid, periorbital skin and eyelashes after topically administered thiotepa: a case report

SUMMARY

Depigmentation of the lid, eyelashes and periorbital skin developed in a patient treated topically with thiotepa for the prevention of pterygium recurrence after surgery. In order to avoid the above complications patients should be warned against sunlight exposure during the treatment, especially more pigmented ones.

They should also wipe off any medication that may escape to lid and periorbital skin.
