Laboratory Findings in Endophthalmitis

Oftalmol. 0004-2749 1678-2925 Conselho Brasileiro de Oftalmologia SUMMARY We reviewed 134 cases with clinical diagnosis of endophthalmitis sent to our Microbiology Service. Cataract surgery was the main cause of endophthalmitis (66.2%), followed by trauma (25.4%). The most frequent isolated microrganism was Staphylococcus aureus. All of them were suscetible to cephalotyn, vancomicyn, gentamicyn and tobramicyn. Texto completo disponível apenas em PDF.
