Modification of Schocket technique for control of post-penetrating keratoplasty

SUMMARY

Nine eyes of 9 patients with post penetrating keratoplasty glaucoma underwent antiglaucomatous surgery with modified Schocket implant. Six of these eyes were aphakic. The mean pre-operative intraocular pressure was 38.2 mmHg ± 5.6, ranging fram 32 to 46 mmHg . The mean post-operative intraocular pressure was 14.6 mmHg ± 2.4. Follow-up ranged fram 6 to 15 months (mean 10.6 months ± 3.0).

All eyes kept intraocular pressure under 20 mmHg and 6 of these (66.6%) with additionai antiglaucomatous drugs. In one eye, the intracameral tube tip was obstructed by vitreous humor. This eye developed a retinal detachment after six months. No graft rejection was observed after the device implantation.
