SUMMARY
28 glaucomatous eyes were divided in two groups. Each group has 6 pseudophacic, 4 aphacic and 4 phacic eyes. All pseudophacic and aphacic eyes had one unsucessful trabeculectomy and all phacic had two unsucessful trabeculectomy.
One group (A) was treated with 5 FU and the other group (B) with mitomycin.
The mean IOP was lower in group B (12.43 ± 6.14 X 15.00 ± 5.59) and the complications were more frequent, exception to corneal epithelium lesions that were more often in group A. Some suggestions are made to avoid these complications.
