SUMMARY
This study is based on the observation of 207 patients from colony hospital of Santo Angelo (Mogi das Cruzes). One hundred and ninety five (94.2%) were of the Lepromatous type and 12 (5.8%) of Tuberculoid type. Among them 147 (71%) were males and 60 (28.9%) were females. Ocular adnexa lesions observed were 89 (45.6%), in Lepromatous group. Among the lesion, madarosis of eyebrows and diminished corneal sensitivity showed the maximum incidence, 29.7% and 36.9% respectively. Unilateral blindness observed were 15.4% and bilateral blindness were 6.6% (Virchowiana).
