SUMMARY
The authors present a case of ophthalmomyiasis with orbit-maxillebuccal fistula due to Dermatobia hominis larvae. The medical treatment was carried out with sulfuric ether to remove the larvae, patches with yellow mercury oxide 1% ointment and systemic medication which included oral administration of antibiotics and antiinflamatory drugs. In spite of satisfactory resolution and spontaneous involution of fistula, eye enucleation was necessary.
