Effect bothropic antivenom on haemodynamics changes induced in dog by the Bothrops moojeni poison

The hemodynamics effect of the Bothrops moojeni poison (B. m.p.) were measured on sixteen male cross-bread dogs, divided in two groups of eight dogs each. All dogs were sedated and kept by an oro-tracheal tube on spontaneous ventilation. The antivenom solution was able to neutralize the hypotensive effect and also to prevent the drop of cardiac frequency caused by B. m.p. in dogs. No dogs presented alterations on the cardiac frequency.
