This paper deals with the experiments performed at Piracicaba and São Pedro in 1964-1966 against the hills of Atta sexdens rubropilosa Forel, 1908, which is the most important "saúva" ant (parasol ant) in several parts in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The following products were used: a) diazinon (dust); b) Sevin (dust); c) chlordane (emulsifiable concentrate); d) heptachlor (emulsifiable concentrate; first experiment); e) chlordane and diazinon (emulsifiable concentrates); f) heptachlor + Frumin AL (dust); g) heptachlor (emulsifiable concentrate; second experiment); h) chlordane (dust). The results obtained are seen in tables 1 to 8.
