Abstract:
Inscription of the significant feature of the Name-of-the-Father subordinates infantile sexuality to the phallic function. It allows the subject to develop a gendered relationship to enjoyment and to opt for a sexual identification. On the contrary, genital sexuality in adolescence can update the foreclosure of the name and phallus whose utilization is necessary for the engagement of the body in the relationship with the partner. Clinical practice teaches us that the subject can authorize himself artifices like religion or prostitution, that is to say some know-how to proceed without the father while using it. Sometimes, too, the phobia of name testing is capable of being overcome.
