ABSTRACT
The objective of the study is to report the first occurrence of parasitoid Triplasta coxalis (Ashmead) (Hymenoptera: Figitidae) in pupae of Cyrtoneurina pararescita Couri (Diptera: Muscidae) in cattle dung in Brazil. The experiment was undertaken in Itumbiara, GO, Brazil. The pupae were obtained by the flotation method. They were individually placed in gelatin capsules until the emergence of the adult flies or their parasitoids. In the study 30 pupae of Cyrtoneurina pararescita were obtained, 5 of which yielded the parasitoid Triplasta coxalis. The prevalence of parasitism was 16.7%.
