EVALUATION OF COMPATIBILITY (DEFENSIVES AGRÍCOLAS) IN THE CONSERVATION OF ENTOMOPATHOGENIC MICROORGANISMS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF (COFEE PLANT PESTS)

ABSTRACT

The compatibility of insecticide/fungicide cyproconazole + thiamethoxam 20 GR and thiamethoxam 250 WG with Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae and Verticillium lecanii and Bacillus thuringiensis was evaluated. The products were mixed with specific culture media using the maximum and minimum concentration. After the inoculation period of each microorganism, the vegetative growth and sporulation of the fungi and the colony forming units (CFU) of the bacteria were evaluated. An experiment was done on coffee plants with 15 years of age, applying the following insecticides: cyproconazole + thiamethoxam (500 g/ha), cyproconazole + thiamethoxam +B. bassiana (1 kg/ha), thiamethoxam (200 g/ha), thiamethoxam +B. bassiana, B. bassiana, endosulfan CE 2 L/ha, endosulfan+B. bassiana, and control. The number of CFU was evaluated from leafs and fruits of the coffee plants. The insecticide thiamethoxam was compatible with all microorganisms, in all concentrations. Cyproconazole + thiamethoxam and endosulfan were incompatible. There was no statistical difference for CFU among the treatments, all of them showing compatibility to the bacteria.
