AMBLYOMMA TIGRINUM KOCH, 1844 (ACARI: IXODIDAE) IN DOMESTIC DOGS FROM THE RESERVA DO BOQUEIRÃO FOREST, INGAÍ MUNICIPALITY, SOUTHERN MINAS GERAIS

ABSTRACT

The occurrence of Amblyomma tigrinum parasitizing domestic dogs is reported for the first time in the southern region of the State of Minas Gerais. Co-infestation with A. aureolatum was also observed, which calls attention to the possibility of the transmission of wild pathogens to humans.
