SELECTIVITY OF THIAMETHOXAM ON THE PARASITIC HYMENOPTERA (INSECTA, HYMENOPTERA) FAUNA IN BEAN CROP (PHASEOLUS VULGARIS L.) IN RIBEIRÃO PRETO, SP

ABSTRACT

The effect of insecticides (dose in g a.i./ha): thiamethoxam 350 FS (105) + thiamethoxam 250 WG (37.5) 21 days after emergence (d.a.e.), thiamethoxam 350 FS (105) + thiamethoxam 250 WG (37.5) 14 and 28 d.a.e., thiamethoxam 350 FS (105) + profenofos 500 (300) 14 and 28 d.a.e. and methamidophos 60 CS (60) 7, 14, 21 and 28 d.a.e. on the fauna of parasitic hymenoptera in bean crop, in Ribeirão Preto, SP. The experiment was a randomized block design with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The collecionts were realized from 11/27/2001 to 1/3/2002 with 75 Moericke traps. The results were analyzed by the F and Tukey tests (5%) and the percentages were calculated according to the Abbott formula. This study showed thiamethoxam selective for the population of parasitic hymenoptera and its use is an alternative to control the pest in bean crop.
