EVALUATION OF PHOSPHORUS SOURCES FOR CATTLE FEED SUPPLEMENTATION

ABSTRACT

We analyzed some sources available for mineral nutrition in bovine in Brazil to in order check for contamination by heavy metals, among the which the Fosfato Bicálcico, Fosfato Supertriplo of national origin, Fosfato Monoamônio imported from Russia, Fosfato Supertriplo imported from Marrocos, Fosfato Monoamônio of national origin and Rocha Fosfática of Catalão. The methodology of analysis used was the spectrometry of atomic emission for coupled plasma inductively (ICP-AES). The Fosfato Supertriplo imported from Marrocos was the most contaminated source for heavy metals, with high levels for cadmium, vanadium and fluorine. Excepted for the Fosfato Bicálcico, all the other sources analyzed showed contamination for some heavy metals
