PARASITOIDS OF DIPTERA ASSOCIATED WITH CATTLE DUNG COLLECTED IN PASTURE AND STABLE

ABSTRACT

A study was carried out on the parasitoids in cattle dung pats. The objective of the samples was to verify the frequency of the parasitoids regarded as important in the control of Diptera. Ten samples of bovine dung were taken at random, each month, from pats fifteen days old, placed in plastic containers and taken to the laboratory. Arthropods were extracted by flotation in water. It was noticed that the dung collected from the pasture presented a higher number of individuals and a higher diversity of species. The species of Eucolinae and Spalangia can be considered the most important natural enemies of Diptera collected from cattle dung found in the pasture and stable in Goiás.
