ABSTRACT
The objective of the present work was to alert on the occurrence of the swine pleuropneumonia in Brazil, to report on the currently employed methodologies for the isolation and identification of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, App. The prevalent sorotipos in Brazil and that they can be present in a vaccine are also described.
