ABSTRACT
The aim of the present survey was to evaluate in dairy cattle a sanitary management model for the control and eradication of infectious diseases that affect reproduction, such as Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR), Bovine Virus Diahrroea (BVD), Brucelosis and Leptospirosis. As Tuberculosis is a zoonosis, it was also controlled. In six years under sanitary management measures, aiming at biosecurity, such as control of traffic of animals, artificial insemination using pathogen-free semen and periodic sanitary evaluation of the animals, there was not any case of IBR, BVD, Brucelosis or Tuberculosis. In spite of treatment with streptomycin, the incidence of Leptospirosis rose.
