ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to observe the hematology changes that take2 broilers during acute fowl typhoid. Hematological parameters were investigated in the blood of thirty-six birds infected with Salmonella gallinarum and compared with thirty-six birds of a control group. The blood samples were taken on days 24, 26, 31, 38, 45 and 52. During the development of the acute disease, was observed a severe macrocytic and hipochromic anemia, leucocytosis and heterophilia with juvenile cells.
