The questionnaires applied to the producers in the year of 2004 showed that amitraz is the main product in the region, followed by the association of organofosphate with pyrethroid, and macrocyclical lactones. The majority of farmers (95%) have used therapeutical acaricide treatment without information about the main acaricide groups.
