CAPILLARIA HEPATICA INFECTION IN WILD CARNIVORES (LYCALOPEX GYMNOCERCUS AND CERDOCYON THOUS) IN SOUTHERN RIO GRANDE DO SUL, BRAZIL

ABSTRACT

Capillaria hepatica infection was diagnosed in 4 of 24 (16.6%) animals by histological examination. The parasitosis was unexpected and considered an incidental discovery of necropsy. Data about to the sex, age and necropsy findings, such as gross lesions and histopatological evidence of capillariasis, were presented and discussed.
