EVALUATION OF INSECTICIDES AND ENTOMOPATHOGENIC FUNGI FOR CONTROL OF SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES OF SUGARCANE

ABSTRACT

The effects of the two formulations of acetamiprid and entompathogenic fungi in sugarcane plant for control of subterranean termites were evaluated. The treatments were: 1-Acetamiprid 2% GR - 7. kg/ha; 2- Acetamiprid 2% GR - 10 kg/ha; 3Acetamiprid 2% GR - 12 kg/ha; 4-Acetamiprid 70% M - 0.15 kg/ha; 5-Acetamiprid 70%PM - 0.280 kg/ha; 6-Acetamiprid 70%PM - 0.380 kg/ha; 7-Fipronil 800 WG - Beauveria bassiana - 30 kg/ha; 9Metarhizium anisopliae - 30 kg/ha; 10-Control. The initial termites infestation in soil was evaluated and with traps (Termitrap), and during the study the germination of cane was evaluated as was the and the termite population in traps. The production (metric ton of sugarcane per hectare), Pol and Pol per hectare were evaluated after the harvest of the crop. The treatment Acetamiprid 2% GR 10 kg/ha, showed the better production of cane and the treatment Beauveria bassiana 30 kg/ha, the lowest population of termites in sugarcane plants and in traps. M. anisopliae, 30 kg/ha did not control H. tenuis in inundate inoculation.
