EVALUATION OF COMMERCIAL ELISA TESTE "KITS" FOR THE DETECTION OF ANTIBODIES AGAINST THE VIRUS OF GUMBORO DISEASE IN VACCINATED FLOCK

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work was to compare the sensitivity of two commercial "Kits" for detection of antibodies titres against virus of the infectious bursal disease (IBDV) through the ELISA test. Blood samples were obtained on the 1st, 4th, 7th, 14th, 21th, 35th, 42th and 49th days of age, 20 samples being take for each of the ages, from three different farms located in Araraquara, SP. The poultry were vaccinated on 14th day of age through drinking water with live attenuated vaccine, genomic group G3, Mouthrop G 603 strain. The results showed that the "kit B" that was impregnated in their VP2 and VP3 genomic region plates is more sensitive than the "kit A" (p < 0.05) that was impregnated in their plates whole particles plantes, in the detection of antibodies against IBDV.
