Abstract
Having translated the elegy No amanece el cantor (2018), the first book by José Ángel Valente that was published in Brazil, I would now like to introduce Brazilian readers to another set of poems by the same author, although these deal with a radically different theme. Specifically, I am talking about the seventeen erotic poems that make up the first part of Mandorla, a book originally published in 1982.
