Abstract
This text aims to analyse the childhood images presented in Vale do Jequitinhonha inhabitants' memory stories, located in the northeast of Minas Gerais, based on Georges Didi-Huberman studies on peoples' representations, their over or underexposure, as well as on the toys' archaeology proposed by Walter Benjamin. We observe, moreover, a narrow relationship between the universe describe by these stories and Guimaraes Rosa's poetics.
