Literary Readings and Subjectivity

Abstract

This article proposes a reflection on the relationship between literary reading and subjectivity. The discussion is supported by readings that range from the reception aspect to the ludic aspect, including notions of subjectivity, desire and experience. Throughout the argumentation, the teaching of literature is seen as a practice that necessarily triggers experiences that constitute the reading subject. The dialogue with research, within the scope of the professional master's degree, fosters an encounter with this need to understand the fundamental role played by subjectivity in the constitution of literary reading.
