Abstract
This essay analyzes the temporal arc that links the Independence of Brazil with the History field in its different moments. The central issue to be explored is the emerging conflict between two distinct forms of historical representation, one inherited from the conceptual horizon of Independence, the other formulated within a new socio-economic semantic network. By analyzing the specific case of the company Brasil Paralelo, we verify how this new type of historical representation works, here called “history-as-0a-service”.
