ABSTRACT
The objective of this article is to communicate part of the research about the Fundo Foto Bianchi, located at Casa da Memória Paraná in the city Ponta Grossa. This research is within the field of visual culture and is based on a methodology that seeks the appropriate organization and conservation of archives, with special attention to procedures relating the documentary system and research with dry plates. The article discusses the interlocution between the university, municipal government and community in two different moments: the purchase of the archive in 2001 and the curatorial project started in 2014. The article also presents the history of the studio Foto Bianchi and its composition, indicating the relationship between written and iconographic documents from the start of the 20th century until the 1970s. Finally, the curatorial project stages are described. This article highlights some aspects related to the change of its status and the importance of the curatorship as a form of improving the documentary function of the Fundo Foto Bianchi.
