A case of subacute sclerosing panencephalitis is reported. The diagnosis was achieved by the disease's course, based on the laboratory data, so as cerebrospinal fluid examination (protein eletrophoretic study), eletroencephalogram and confirmed by histopathological study demonstrating the presence of intranuclear inclusions.
