The author reports a case of neurodysplasia, presenting the following congenital anomalies: lumbar spina bifida occulta, genu valgum, pes valgum, aplasia of the last phalanges of the toes, deformity of the right foot, lumbo-sacral lipoma, plantar perforating ulcer. There was atypical sensory syndrome, with thermalgesic anesthesia and hypoesthesia involving feet and legs, "saddle" thermalgesic anesthesia and loss of the deep conscious sensibility; motor syndrome, with loss of tendon reflexes in the lower limbs, paresia of the right toes and defective sphincter control; diffuse spinal arachnoiditis; neurosympathetic disorders. The author discusses the surgical treatment, which was discarded, at least for the present, because the conservaaive therapeutics brought some improvement on the clinical conditions.
