The authors present two cases of repair of skull defects with Tantalum, using a simplified technique without previous lowering of the osseous edge. The procedure proved successfull only in one case; in the second patient, the failure is related to an imperfection in the closing of the scalp and not to the nature of the Tantalum plate.
