Two cases of meningeal diverticulus as post-surgical complications of lumbar laminectomy are reported. The possibility of misinterpretations of persistent post-laminectomy complaints is emphasized. The necessity of a better investigation in these cases before submitting the patients to psichiatric care is stressed specially in those who suffered surgical procedures in lumbar region.
