This volume of the Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria is dedicated to the great master and basilar stone of Neurology in Spain, Prof. Luís Barraquer-Ferré, son and follower of Prof. Luís Barraquer Roviralta, and father of Dr. Luís Barraquer Bordas, a young but already distinguished neurologist.
Suggested by another eminent neurologist, Prof. Robert Wartenberg, the idea of this homage was immediately accepted by the Editorial Board of the Arquvos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, and by the two neurological centers of São Paulo. To the well-known neurologists of several countries who collaborated with their valuable papers, we wish to express our sincere acknowledgement, since they have thus transformed the Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria into a international periodical.
Because of the great number of papers received, some of which quite extensive, we had to published them in two issues, those of July and September 1952; but now all the papers were joined in a special edition of only 50 volumes, which are being sent to the contributors.
