The questionary test of Neymann-Kohlstedt slightly modified by the author was used to study the temperamental inclinations of youngsters at the age of thrirteen coursing primary school in Recife (Pernambuco). Among 1097, 674 were found to be introverts (246 boys and 428 girls), 255 ambiverts (107 boys and 148 girls) and 168 extroverts (68 boys and 100 girls).
