Multisensoriality and synesthesia: possible poetics?

Abstract

In this paper, I intend to present some aspects of the human perception, while creating or perceiving art work, that involves the use of emerging technologies. To achieve this, I bring concepts through interactivies modalities, multi-sensoriality, pseudo-synesthesia and synesthetia. My paper focuses on the problem regarding the meaning of the artwork within this poetic situation, especially in the case of composing playful elements or other entertainment features. To understand this problem, that is is transdisciplinary in nature, I find support in multidisciplinary fundaments. My discourse tries to point out objective answers, although hypothetic, since it refers to an ongoing research. For this, I discuss the relationship that exists between the work, the artist and the interactor. Listing possible systemic, semiotic and neuroscientific reasons for this kind of approach between these participating entities, as I consider their relationship intertwined. Moreover, I demonstrate what certain poetic multisensoriality can refer to without involving pseudo-synesthesia.
