RESUMO Almejamos analisar, nesta pesquisa1, como a misoginia se estabelece em uma interação no X (antigo Twitter), sob o argumento de defesa de opinião, para legitimar discursos de ódio. No âmbito teórico, concebemos, à luz da Sociolinguística Interacional e da Pragmática, que as estratégias de impolidez colaboram com a construção de cenários de violência linguístico-discursiva em interações mediadas on-line, na medida em que tanto reduzem a distância interlocutiva quanto geram metapragmáticas machistas, misóginas, patriarcais e antifeministas. No âmbito metodológico, inscrevemo-nos em uma abordagem qualitativa para, a partir do método netnográfico, analisarmos uma interação no X a partir dos critérios de inclusão e de exclusão propostos neste estudo. No âmbito analítico, constatamos que os interlocutores C, E e F se valeram, com frequência, de estratégias de impolidez na construção de discursos pautados na defesa de opinião para atacar o feminismo e legitimar discursos de ódio.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In this research,1 we aim to analyze how misogyny establishes itself in an interaction on X (formerly Twitter) to legitimize hate speech, under the argument of opinion defense. Theoretically, in light of Interactional Sociolinguistics and Pragmatics, we conceive that impoliteness strategies contribute to the construction of linguistic-discursive violence scenarios in online-mediated interactions, as they both reduce interlocutive distance and generate sexist, misogynistic, patriarchal, and antifeminist metapragmatics. Methodologically, we adopted a qualitative approach to analyze an interaction on X based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria proposed in this study, using the netnographic method. Analytically, we observed that interlocutors C, E, and F frequently used impoliteness strategies in constructing opinion-based discourses to attack feminism and legitimize hate speech.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Muitos estudos, visando analisar as raízes filosóficas das ideias do chamado “Círculo de Bakhtin”, têm mostrado algumas convergências entre o pensamento do filósofo alemão Ernst Cassirer e as ideias delineadas pelos autores do Círculo. Sendo assim, procuramos, neste artigo, comparar as teorizações de Cassirer sobre as “ciências culturais” com as reflexões tecidas por Bakhtin sobre essas mesmas ciências. Apontamos, ao longo do artigo, semelhanças e diferenças entre as discussões apresentadas pelos dois autores. Destacamos uma nítida semelhança nos modos como os autores (Cassirer e Bakhtin) abordam o objeto das ciências humanas em contraposição ao objeto das ciências naturais, a partir da ideia de “personificação” e “coisificação” (Bakhtin) e conhecimento do “outro” e conhecimento da “coisa” (Cassirer). Concluímos que essa semelhança seria decorrente da leitura que ambos os autores teriam feito das obras de Scheler, Dilthey e Rickert.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Many studies, aiming to analyze the philosophical roots of the ideas of the so-called “Bakhtin Circle,” have shown some convergences between the thought of the German philosopher Ernst Cassirer and the ideas outlined by the Circle’s authors. Therefore, in this article, we seek to compare Cassirer’s theories about “cultural sciences” with Bakhtin’s reflections on these same sciences. Throughout the article, we point out similarities and differences in the discussions presented by the two authors. We highlight a clear similarity in the ways in which the authors (Cassirer and Bakhtin) approach the object of human sciences as opposed to the object of natural sciences, based on the idea of “personification” and “thingification” (Bakhtin) and knowledge of the “other” and knowledge of the “thing” (Cassirer). We concluded that this similarity would be due to the reading that both authors would have made of the works of Scheler, Dilthey and Rickert.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Por volta de 390 a.C., Isócrates escreveu um texto dedicado à mítica Helena, Elogio de Helena. Segundo o rétor, seu objetivo era enaltecer aquela personagem, reconhecida em duas das principais obras de Homero, a Ilíada e a Odisseia. Embora o texto isocrático já tenha sido exaustivamente estudado, acreditamos que a Análise do Discurso proporcionará uma visão mais aprofundada do texto e de suas estratégias argumentativas. Assim, nosso objetivo é analisar como se deu a construção argumentativa do Elogio de Helena. A partir da análise foi possível perceber que os discursos possuem diferentes camadas, que Isócrates utiliza a história de Helena como base para sua argumentação e que o retórico reproduz imaginários de feminilidade e masculinidade, embora este não fosse um objetivo explícito.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Around 390 BC, Isocrates wrote a text dedicated to the mythical Helen, Encomium of Helen. According to the rhetorician, his objective was to praise that character, who was recognized in two of Homer’s main works, the Iliad and the Odyssey. Although the isocratic text has already been thoroughly studied, we believe that Discourse Analysis will provide a more in-depth view of the text and its argumentative strategies. Thus, our objective is to analyze how the argumentative construction of the Encomium of Helen took place. From the analysis, it was possible to notice that discourses have different layers, that Isocrates uses Helen’s story as a foundation for his argumentation and that the rhetorician reproduces imaginaries of femininity and masculinity, although this was not an explicit objective.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O objetivo do artigo é proceder a uma análise da personagem Alison, esposa de Bath, na obra Os contos de Canterbury, de Geofrey Chaucer. Para isso, com base em Bakhtin (2010, 2018), em particular a partir da perspectiva da carnavalização, somada à teoria da performatividade de gênero de Butler (1988, 2017), pretendemos mostrar como a referida personagem subverte, carnavalizadamente, certos textos bíblicos referentes ao papel da mulher no matrimônio. Dessa forma, nesse estudo, para efeito de análise, tomamos da obra chaucereana o prólogo da esposa de Bath visto que nele a personagem elabora, de modo mais evidente, sua relação tensa e, ao mesmo tempo cômica, com a Bíblia. Da análise feita, concluímos, assim, que a esposa de Bath, de maneira carnavalizada, performatiza o gênero feminino em pleno período medieval, mostrando-se subversiva aos estereótipos da época ao profanar certas orientações bíblicas, tanto do Velho como do Novo Testamento, relativamente ao que é ser mulher e esposa.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The aim of this article is to analyze the character Alison, the wife of Bath, in Geofrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales. To do this, based on Bakhtin (1984a, 1984b), especially from the perspective of carnivalization, together with Butler’s theory of gender performativity (1988, 1999), we intend to show how this character carnivalistically subverts certain biblical texts relating to the role of women in marriage. Thus, for the purposes of this study, we have taken the Wife of Bath’s prologue from Chaucer’s work, because in it she constructs her polemical more explicitly and the comic relationship with the Bible at the same time. From this analysis, we conclude that Bath’s wife, in a carnivalized way, performs the feminine gender in the middle of the medieval period, showing herself to be subversive of the stereotypes of the time by profaning certain biblical guidelines, from both the Old and New Testaments, regarding what it means to be a woman and a wife.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO A entrevista sociolinguística tem sido estudada em diferentes aspectos, por pesquisadores de variadas áreas. Este texto busca ampliar a perspectiva de análise de entrevistas sociolinguísticas, em uma abordagem interdisciplinar, articulando noções do campo discursivo com outras do campo antropológico e do campo sociolinguístico. Os objetivos específicos deste trabalho são: (i) articular os conceitos de cronotopo, performance de linguagem e atos de postura (stance) para o estudo das dimensões cronotópicas na entrevista sociolinguística; (ii) expor e descrever essas dimensões e seus aspectos indexicais; e (iii) propor algumas estratégias metodológicas que podem ser adotadas para o mapeamento das dimensões cronotópicas nas entrevistas sociolinguísticas. Como resultado, exponho algumas contribuições dessa articulação conceitual e da estratégia metodológica utilizada, atentando-se também para a investigação de dados emergentes dessa prática discursiva.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The sociolinguistic interview has been studied in diverse ways by researchers from various fields. This text aims to broaden the perspective of analyzing sociolinguistic interviews in an interdisciplinary approach, articulating notions from the discursive field with others from the anthropological and sociolinguistic fields. The specific aims are: (i) to connect the concepts of chronotope, performance, and stance for the study of chronotopic dimensions in sociolinguistic interviews; (ii) to expose and describe these dimensions and their indexical aspects; and (iii) to propose some methodological strategies for mapping chronotopic dimensions in sociolinguistic interviews. As a result, I present some contributions from this conceptual articulation and the methodological blueprint used, paying attention to the data that emerges from this discursive practice.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO A interpretação poética do simbolismo dos lugares sagrados é um tema significativo no estudo da herança cultural do Cazaquistão, incluindo a sua literatura. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as técnicas literárias e as táticas linguísticas através das quais os escritores cazaques recriam e ilustram o simbolismo e o significado dos locais sagrados. O principal método utilizado é o analítico, especificamente a análise semiótica, a análise formal e a análise histórico-cultural. Outros métodos empregados incluem comparativos, métodos de generalização e sistematização. O estudo concluiu que os locais sagrados desempenham um papel fundamental na identificação nacional do Cazaquistão. A sua interpretação poética mostra um complexo entrelaçamento de memória histórica, tradições culturais e valores espirituais do povo cazaque. A análise das obras literárias revelou que os escritores empregam ativamente várias técnicas estilísticas e rítmicas para transmitir o significado único destes lugares. Metáforas, alegorias, símbolos, repetições e outras ferramentas linguísticas são mais comumente usadas para criar uma imagem em várias camadas de um local sagrado.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The poetic interpretation of the symbolism of sacred places is a significant theme in the study of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage, including its literature. This research aims to analyse the literary techniques and linguistic tactics through which Kazakhstani writers recreate and illustrate the symbolism and significance of holy sites. The primary method used is analytical, specifically semiotic analysis, formal analysis, and historical-cultural analysis. Other methods employed include comparative, methods of generalisation, and systematisation. The study found that sacred places play a pivotal role in Kazakhstan’s national identification. Their poetic interpretation showcases a complex interweaving of historical memory, cultural traditions, and spiritual values of the Kazakh people. Analysis of literary works revealed that writers actively employ various stylistic and rhythmic techniques to convey the unique significance of these places. Metaphors, allegories, symbols, repetitions, and other linguistic tools are most commonly used to craft a multi-layered image of a sacred site.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O objeto de estudo do presente artigo é o conceito de entoação visual negra formulado pelo multiartista Arthur Jafa no vídeo-ensaio Love Is the Message, the Message Is Death (2016). Com o objetivo de descobrir a singularidade do cinema negro na composição fílmica, o artista construiu um experimento e examina como memórias encarnadas afloram sob forma de cantos e danças, realinhando formas culturais tradicionais que a travessia diaspórica dispersou. Conclui-se, assim, que a singularidade estético-política do cinema negro emerge na entoação verbi-voco-visual negra que, assim, exterioriza energias interiores interativas e organiza um espaço crítico-discursivo no qual pessoas pretas podem falar de si, de seus desejos, sonhos e aflições.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is to study the idea of black visual intonation in the video-essay Love Is the Message, the Message Is Death (2016) by visual artist Arthur Jafa. With the aim at discovering the singularity of black cinema in filmic composition, the artist carried out an experiment to examine how embodied memories emerge in the form of songs and dances, recovering traditional cultural features that the Afro-Atlantic diaspora dissipated. We find that the aesthetic-political singularity of black cinema emerges in the black verbal-vocal-visual intonation, which externalizes interactive inner energies and organizes a critical-discursive space in which black people can talk about themselves, their desires, dreams and sorrows.
