A scoring scale for quality evaluation of coffee samples has been developed by the writers, based on data from four experiments statistically designed and analysed, representing the average of 160 flavor determinations. These were made on standard samples of the various export types of coffee by a selected and trained taster panel. The resulting scoring scale will be used for quality determinations of coffeesamples from experiments carried out at the Instituto Agronômico.
