Fertilizer experiments with Irish potato under field conditions were carried out at six different localities of the State of São Paulo, and showed that the use of the castor seed meal along with superphosphate and potassium sulfate, affords identical results in tuber yield as those obtained with either cotton seed meal or ammonium sulfate, as a source of nitrogen.
