Field tests were carried out at three different locations to study the compatibility of seed treatment with Arasan and inoculation with nodule bacteria, and to verify the influence of the fungicide treatment on the germination of two soybean varieties: Abura (with no cracking) and Mogiana (with 76% of cracking). The results of the tests showed that there was a slight increase in emergence due to Arasan. Inoculation of the seed just prior to planting increased significantly both the number of nodules and the yield. Under the conditions of the trials, treatment with Arasan did not impair the efficiency of inoculation, as judged by non-significant differences between the treatments, inoculation alone and inoculation plus Arasan.
