Fertilizing soybeans: VII - Effects of increasing doses of lime, phosphorus and potassium on a latosol soil with "Cerrado" vegetation

The responses of soybeans to increasing applications of lime, phosphorus and potassium were tested for two years in the State of São Paulo, on a red latosol soil with "cerrado" vegetation recently cleared. In spite of the low soil pH (4.8) liming was ineffective. The effect of potassium, although positive, was small; phosphorus, however, increased the yield considerably.
