Evaluative Matrix of Longitudinal Bond in Primary Health Care: validation process held by specialists

Abstract

Introduction

The present study aimed to perform the construct and content validation of the evaluative matrix of longitudinal bond in Primary Health Care. Longitudinal bond is related to positive results of health care and is representative of structuring characteristics of Primary Care in the Unified Health System (SUS).

Methodology

The validation was held in two stages: on the first stage, the research crew discussed the structuring concepts of the matrix and revised the criteria, indicators and questions; on the second stage, using the Delphi method as a reference, specialists were consulted to analyze and judge the items of the matrix in a conference via web and at a Consensus Workshop.

Results

Adjustments were made in the first stage and the number of items in the matrix was significantly reduced. In the second stage, specialists agreed on the adjustments made on the format of the matrix, and new items to better represent the model adopted by the SUS were inserted.

Conclusion

The evaluation improved the matrix, making it more robust in terms of the representativity of the attribute, contributing for its applicability as an evaluative instrument of Primary Health Care in the SUS.
