The story of three educator's childhood are the starting point to discuss the relationship of these women to their girlhood, their schooling experience, their professional life, their motherhood and the social groups of the districts they were raised in and, later, the effects and interference of those real-life experiences on their educational practices with low purchasing power children and youngsters who attend an informal schooling project.
